Speedy Moisture Content Tester – SM-1000
The SM-1000 Speedy Moisture Tester is a portable device designed to quickly and accurately measure the moisture content of various materials, including soil, sand, clay, and other granular substances.
Principle of Operation
The device works by reacting the moisture in the test specimen with calcium carbide reagent to form acetylene gas, which creates pressure in the chamber. The pressure gauge is calibrated to directly read the percentage of moisture contained in the specimen.
