Accurate Infrared Communication for Laboratory and Industrial Applications
This USB to infrared IR meter is designed for research, development, and testing of electricity meters, smart home devices, and industrial control equipment. It is not intended for controlling household appliances due to varying infrared communication protocols.
Key Features and Functional Parameters
- Infrared transceiver function without spontaneous self-reception at a baud rate of 1200
- Effective baud rates of 2400, 1200, and 600; higher baud rates supported with reduced effective range
- Effective range of up to 8 meters at 1200 baud rate, powered by USB
- Infrared transmission and reception direction: approximately 120 degrees
- Infrared receiver head can receive 220 to 300 bytes, depending on pulse capacitance
Optimizing Performance and Testing
For stable communication, test at a distance of around 15cm-50cm. The infrared transmission is a fan-shaped area, and the transmission axis of each tube may deviate slightly. The product is designed to meet most testing needs with its current data capacity.
| Baud Rate | Effective Range |
|---|---|
| 1200 | Up to 8 meters |
| 2400, 600 | Reduced effective range |
